How We Did It

This project consisted of 3 separate shoots: one utilizing a full 5 man crew, the second a 3 man crew and the final a 1, count ‘em… 1, man crew.

Filmed at the height of COVID, we packed out, and we mean PACKED OUT, a Suburban and roadtripped our way to Fayetteville to capture the initial round of interviews and project footage. Those three days were chock full of Interviews, walk and talks, 360º Tour Capture, Project Footage, Staged Scenes, photography and aerial capture. Once back in Austin we swung by Delta Millworks, conveniently located 20 mins from our offices, to capture their Shou Sugi Ban process, history and some b-roll of their shop, which turned out pretty nice if we may say so! The final portion took place in MARVEL Architect’s New York City office, where our 1 man band crew member captured b-roll and setup interviews that we conducted over Zoom - a first but not last time doing this.
